Desiccant

Desiccant (usually activated alumina) is used in all desiccant air dryers. When compressed air leaves the compressor, it is hot. Hot air contains a large amount of moisture, which is often not suitable for the plant using the air. So, next comes the Air Dryer. The Desiccant Air dryer can achieve almost perfectly dry air with a dewpoint capability of -100F. Our Desiccant line of Activated Alumina can be used in both heated air dryers as well as heatless pressure swing air dryers.

Our Activated Alumina Desiccant can regenerate to its original absorption capacity (that which absorbs the moisture) by purging with gas at temperatures of 350F to 600F.
