The Pressure Switch or Pressure Transducer is a simply device that reads the air pressure signal from the line and sump in order to activate and tell the compressor to load or unload. A faulty pressure switch (which unfortunately is often a common problem from the manufacture) will not allow the air compressor to work right. If the compressor does not get the right signal of when to load and unload, it will simply not build the right amount of air, or none at all.
